As our Cloud portals web engineer in the GlassCourt OS team, you’ll develop our online portals.
We’re looking for a reliable, detail-orientated and proactive developer to help shape the foundation of our rapidly evolving product ecosystem. Client Portal
While GlassCourt OS is typically operated on site using an iPad. GlassCourt OS also provides an online client portal for management. Currently this portal only contains media management, we’re looking for somebody to expand this with:
- Generative AI content creation
- Lines editor
- Court editor and logo placement editor
- Assets management for GCOS Apps
- App store for third party floor apps
Internal Portal
Besides the client portal we also want to set up a portal for internal use. This portal will be the main internal management interface for GCOS for all of our LED floors. This will include:
- Dashboards and monitoring
- Tools for managing app deploy requests from client app stores
- Access provisioning and deployment tooling for GCOS machines.
This hybrid role is hired out of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, suitable for candidates within a commutable distance to the office in central Amsterdam.
What you’ll do
In this role you’ll be responsible for the development of the GCOS portals; the online interface for the GCOS platform.
- Develop modern web applications using React/Vite and Typescript
- Collaborate and translate UI/UX designs into responsive web UI
- Optimize application performance
- Write reusable, testable components and while adhering to code quality standards
- Contribute to technical and handover documentation
- Stay up to date with modern frontend trends and best practices
- Contribute to code reviews, and promote engineering best practices
- Work cross-functionally with teams consuming and subscribing to the core services to create seamless end-to-end experiences.
- Explore new technologies to push the boundaries of what’s possible on the court and drive continuous iteration and improve performance, scalability, and reliability of our core systems.
- Represent Engineering in customer-facing technical engagements, including: on-site deployments and upgrades, participation in high-severity incident calls, technical discussions with customer engineering teams
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience shipping modern web apps at scale (ideally 5+ years)
- 2+ years of experience with React, Vue, Vite or a similar declarative UI framework
- Architectural mindset and solid API knowledge;
- Experience with Cloudflare workers, Vercel or other serverless solutions is a plus
- Experience with Next.js is a plus
- Experience with SQL and schema management is a plus
- Understanding of Git and CI/CD workflows
- Comfortable balancing quick iteration with rock-solid reliability (at sporting events, we don’t get a second chance!)
- Understanding of the user context: coaches, athletes and fans
- Adaptable interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and cross-functional internal teams
- Fluency in English is required; Dutch and/or German is a plus but not essential
- Legally permitted to work in the Netherlands.
