At ASB GlassFloor we are proud to have developed the most advanced indoor sports and event flooring product; a fully professional grade sports surface with integrated LED, which provides an incredibly exciting new playing field for professional sports, entertainment and even education.

At the heart of this innovation lies GlassCourt OS (GCOS) – an interactive software solution that acts as a central hub to process real-time data and display visually stunning content on LED court hardware. The platform supports professional coaching through player tracking and with real-time feedback, as well as sponsorship and marketing activations, live broadcasts, and immersive sport event experiences.

Since launching in 2023, and with the support of leading sports institutions such as FIBA, EuroLeague and the NBA, ASB GlassFloor have hosted the FIBA U19 Women’s World Cup, NBA All-Star Weekend and FIBA Champions League Final Four, as well as having permanent courts at FC Bayern Munich Basketball, Panathinaikos A.O. in Athens, and the ASB x NBA Athlete Lab in Orlando, Florida.

This role is hired out of the Netherlands suitable for candidates within commutable distance of central Amsterdam.

What you’ll do

In this role, you will be a part of the Design Department to contribute to GCOS, creating motion content. Creative Team provide creative support to the Creative Team to ensure that content is created and executed to a professional standard in sports and events.

  • Design and animate production ready motion graphics for the state of the art ASB Lumiflex floor for various international sports and conferences, such as basketball, handball, and volleyball
  • Execute creative concepts developed by the Creative Director, while contributing ideas and visual solutions, and adhering to brand guidelines set by teams and brands
  • Animate in-arena video boards, ribbons, and LED displays
  • Create content for game presentation elements including:

+ Player introductions and hype moments

+ Score, stats, and matchup graphics

+ Sponsor and partner integrations

+ Musical and dance performances

+ Assets for interactive games, such as UI elements and icons

  • Prepare and deliver assets optimized for various arena display formats and resolutions
  • Assist in developing visual systems, templates, and graphics packages, as well as updating court designs and various animated promotional assets used by the sales team.

What you’ll bring

  • Passion for sports and animation, and an excitement in bringing a new fan experience to the world of sports and entertainment.
  • 2D & 3D design and animation capabilities
  • Proven experience shipping finalized, production-ready animated assets (2-5 years)
  • Design focused: solid understanding of typography, colors, composition, and visual storytelling
  • Detailed orientedness: ensures correct spelling on assets before final delivery, and utilizes brand specific color palettes and font choices
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines utilizing efficient methods to achieve high end results within resources permitted
  • Strong communication skills and openness to creative feedback
  • Adaptable interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Fluency in English is required; Dutch and/or German is a plus but not essential
  • Legally permitted to work in the EU.
  • High Level Experience with the Adobe Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Media Encoder), Blender, and Rive.

Preferred experience with Cinema4D, Figma, Disguise, Unreal, and/or Unity
