About the job

You will join the team behind ASB GlassCourt OS - a world-first interactive software solution that connects sport, performance technology, and fan engagement. In this role, you’ll be the guardian of our platform’s reliability, performance, and operational excellence. You combine technical skill with operational foresight to lead teams and coordinate cross-functional working that promotes stability and innovation. You take ownership end-to-end, anticipate problems before they arise, and turn complexity into smooth, predictable operations.

Working at ASB GlassCourt OS

We recognise the importance of flexibility and value diversity, differing backgrounds, and individual needs for you, your family, and those around you. When you first join, you will become part of a global team of highly motivated and ambitious people working remotely. In 2026, the company will transition to a hybrid working model to support in-person connection and collaboration. You will have the flexibility to work from home between weekly office contact days at our Amsterdam city-centre location.

This role is hired out of the Netherlands, suitable for candidates within a commutable distance of central Amsterdam.

Responsibilities

In this role you will be both strategic and hands on to shape deployment processes, define incident response strategies, and introduce innovative approaches to make operations smarter and more resilient.

  • Own the end-to-end operational health of GlassCourt OS’s software platform, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability
  • Lead and mentor operations engineers, setting priorities and enabling high performance
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Customer Success, and other teams to translate operational insights into platform improvements
  • Define, document, and enforce incident response strategies, SOPs, runbooks, and escalation procedures
  • Roster and manage on-call teams, leading critical incident resolution and post-incident reviews
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability systems to proactively detect and resolve issues
  • Drive deployments, upgrades, and operational changes, supporting on-site activity and occasional travel within Europe and the USA
  • Lead continuous improvement and innovation initiatives, including process automation and AI-driven operational enhancements
  • Maintain high-quality operational documentation, ensuring knowledge is accessible and actionable across teams
  • Ensure security, compliance, and reliability standards are embedded in operational workflows

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience in software platform operations, site reliability engineering (SRE), or DevOps
  • Hands-on experience with incident management, monitoring, deployments, and operational tooling
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms, distributed systems, databases, and software reliability practices
  • Experience leading operational teams and cross-functional initiatives, including scaling operational teams and processes
  • Demonstrated ability to own critical operational processes end-to-end, including incident response and on-call coordination
  • Comfort in customer-facing operational scenarios, including deployments, escalations, and technical discussions
  • Track record of continuous improvement, automation, and introducing innovative operational practices and enhancements
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Agile ways of working, balancing rapid iteration with reliability
  • Fluency in English is required; Dutch and/or German is a plus but not essential
  • Legally permitted to work in the Netherlands

What’s in it for you?

  • Real flexibility: you have the choice to work hybrid or in the office full-time with the freedom to structure your day around what matters most to you.
  • High impact from day one: your work will directly influence the product, customers, and how we operate as a company. There’s little bureaucracy, your voice matters and your contributions are visible.
  • Collaborative, low ego team: you will work alongside driven, ambitious people who care about building great products and supporting each other, without layers of management.
  • Purpose driven work: you will be joining at a formative stage to shape the future of indoor sports, performance technology, and fan engagement.
  • Annual leave: 30 days inclusive
  • 26 weeks paid parental leave: irrespective of parenting role
  • Personal leave allowance: includes sick & carer’s leave
